LaserDisc Movie Storyline:
The reptilian Gecko brothers, Richard and Seth, are headed south of the border after a gruesome killing spree. Along the way, they kidnap jaded preacher Jacob Fuller and his two teenage kids. When they arrive in Mexico, the quintet pull up to the Titty Twister, the toughest, nastiest, raunchiest biker bar on either side of the border. Unfortunately, the Titty Twister is also home to a nest of violent vampires -- who can transform an hombre into a fellow bloodsucker with just one bite. This sets the stage for the mother of all gorefests, as the Geckos, their hostages, and a few allies use their wits and endless ammo to battle the nocturnal creatures.

LaserDisc Movie Review:
Bank robbers. Chopsocky martial arts action. Murderous Aztec Vampires. A sexy snake woman. This vulgar, graphically violent, black-humor-laced but action-packed offering from Quentin Tarantino contains a little bit of everything as it tells the exciting tale of a vicious bankrobber, Seth, and his whiny, mentally-unstable brother, Richard, who helps him bust out of jail. Together they shoot and maim their way towards the Mexican border. Before they go, they take a hostage, Jacob Fuller, a faithless cynical preacher who has never gotten over the accidental death of his wife. He is accompanied by his two teen-age kids. They steal Fuller's RV and once over the border head for the Titty Twister, a super scuzzy bar where they are to meet Carlos who has promised to keep them safe in exchange for their loot. Unfortunately, they soon learn that the bar is really the front for a ring of ancient Aztec vampires who want to suck their blood and turn them into zombies. --- Sandra Brennan

From Dusk Till Dawn is a voraciously vulgar and violent film that illustrates how talented filmmakers can create a deliberately bad movie. Scripted by Quentin Tarantino and directed by Robert Rodriguez (Desperado), the film can best be described as a Mexican road picture turned self-conscious vampathon with a droll postmodern slant. Remarkably, the narrative consists of two contrasting types of films crudely soldered together. The story begins as a Pulp Fiction-type gangster tale featuring the sharp and profane dialogue seen in Tarantino's other films. Then with no warning, the movie suddenly transforms into a zany, vampire bloodbath similar to the tongue-in-cheek horror works of Sam Raimi and Peter Jackson. However, Tarantino is able to turn the genre on its undead ear, creating an over-the-top gorefest featuring holy-water condom balloons, quadruple impalement, and Harvey Keitel sucking blood as a preacher-turned-vampire. This bold and bizarre Tarantino/Rodriguez effort is laden with frenetic editing and fresh dialogue, but all style and cinematic skill fall to the wayside when the body count abruptly begins. This is a tour de force of outrageous bad taste coupled with delicious talent. Those who relish the work of Quentin Tarantino will certainly find merit in the first half of the film. Others who consider themselves horror aficionados will go bloody crazy over the eventual monster mash. --- Adam Goldberg
